What this site is

VotePrep is a free, nonpartisan informational tool. It helps you understand voting rules and deadlines and points you to official government resources. It is not a government service: using this site does not register you to vote, request a ballot for you, or create any legal record anywhere.

Accuracy — our promise and its limits

We work hard to keep all 51 jurisdictions' rules current, and we link every action to official sources. But election law changes, sometimes on short notice, and this site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The official information published by your state and local election officials always controls. When a date matters, verify it there — every page gives you the link.

Third-party links

Links to state election sites, vote.gov, Ballotpedia, FVAP, and similar resources are provided for convenience. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or policies.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VotePrep and its operators aren't liable for any damages arising from use of this site — including missed deadlines or actions taken based on its content. This isn't legal advice.
